Postal Food Drive
The 16th annual Letter Carriers Food Drive will be held Saturday, May 10.
Citizens in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding areas including Kinross/Kincheloe are asked to donated non-perishable, unopened food items and place them in or beside their mailbox. The letter carriers will pick up the donated food and it will be delivered to the EUP Food Bank for distribution.
Last year 16,198 pounds of food was collected and distributed.
Partners in the event are United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula, the National Association of Letter Carriers, America's Second Harvest Gleaners Food Bank, Campbell's Soup, the AFL-CIO, Valpak and the U.S. Postal Service.
