....So I was once told that it's good therapy to write down your thoughts on each day that goes by. Not sure who I heard it from....might have been my doctor, or..... maybe my parents told me, or..... maybe it was a friend, no....no....I think it was on TV where I heard it.... or maybe......OH CRAP..... forget it, I don't remember. But thought I might give it a shot.... so enter if you dare.......INTO MY MIND..........
DEAR DIARY....(inside the mind of an idiot)

Holy Crap....it's May already....where did April go? By the way, today was a much better day than yesterday....shwooo.
Something very cool happened today. Let me share a little annoyance of mine. One of my pet peeves is how television commercials can lie so bad. Mainly restaurant / fast food commercials. When they show their product, their burger, sandwich, salad, etc, they make it look so perfect. But when you actually go to the place and order the item.....IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ADVERTISEMENT!!! The burger looks like it's been under a hot lamp for five hours, it's half the size, all dilapidated. And the salad has half the toppings the commercial showed, the lettuce is wilted and once again.......half the size of the commercial.....I hate how restaurants are allowed to false advertise on television with the way they make their food look....PET PEEVE! Anywhoooo, I digress. Today I went to Subway for lunch. I got the Italian BMT on wheat with "the works" minus the cucumbers (don't care for cucumbers), with mayo. I was chit-chatting with the worker (sandwich artist) while he was making my sub, so I wasn't really paying attention to his construction of my sandwich. When I got back to the radio station, I sat down at my desk to continue work and enjoy my lunch. As I un-wrapped my sub.....I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! This sub looked exactly like something you would have seen on a television commercial......EXACTLY!!! I actually stopped what I was doing and admired this work of art. The sub was full, stacked high, not smooshed down. The meat was folded perfectly, and the veggies were so full they were busting out the sides. It was perfect, the employee who put this sub together was truly a "Sandwich Artist" which is what Subway kindly refers to their workers as. We are no longer DJ's at the station, we are "On Air Personalities", and they are no longer sub makers, they are "Sandwich Artists", and this guy truly was. Now that I think about it, I should have taken a picture, but instead I jumped right into it. And it tasted as good as it looked! Subway has always been one of my favorite places, and I give them kudos for delivering a product that looks like it does on their television commercials. And I also give kudos to my Sandwich Artist today!
By the way, the Tigers are up 8 to 4 on the Yankees right now, in the top of the 8th. The Tigers could sweep the Yanks tonight..... GO CATS! And.....it's now 10:00, so I must sign off, it's time for game four of the Redwings / Avalanche series. Wings could sweep the Av's tonight..... four games to none.
GO WINGS!!!!
Lesson Learned:
.......Wednesday can never, ever, be the day after Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. But.....get this.....it can be the day after Tuesday!

It's a Saturday Night! Do I really have NO life?! Friday was fun, my wife and I drove 3 hours to eat dinner....is that wrong? You see, my wife and I have an un-healthy addiction to Las Senorita Restaurant, and when the one in the Soo closed down, we went into a state of depression for a few years. Now, to cope with our Las' depression, we drive all the way to Gaylord once in while to get our fix. Sad? Yes! Worth It? Ohhhh Yeah!!!!!!
Lesson Learned:
.... better to have driven 220 miles for the sweet sweet taste of a Las Senorita Taco Salad, the spice of home-made salsa, and the heavenly taste of their Creamy Italian Dressing, than to have a life at all......

Holy Crap.....where did Tuesday go? Today on the Soo Morning Crew we brought back a segment we hadn't done in a while.....The Soo Morning Crew Pet Of The Month. First wednesday of each month Debbie Cox from the Chippewa County Animal Shelter joins us and brings in our featured pet for that month. I absolutely love this event. Being a huge animal lover, and knowing the joy my animals have brought to me since I was a child, I want so badly to find these wonderful pets a home. This month's Soo Morning Crew Pet is Roman who is a Senior Dog looking for a loving home. It breaks my heart to even look at his picture and know that he was mis-treated and un-loved. If I could, I would bring ecah and everyone of these animals home with me, but I can't, the six I have already makes a house full! I truly hope, and pray, that someone will want to take Roman home, and that we can find a home each month for all of our featured pets. The unconditional love and loyalty these animals bring is something most humans could learn from.
Lesson Learned:
.....a home without a loving pet is an empty home......

Wow....The Redwings are on fire! They pounded Dallas tonight, didn't miss a step from the sweep of Colorado. Could it be that Lord Stanley is coming back home???? Man I hope so!

It's my birthday! I don't get as excited or celebrate my birthday like I use to, but I don't hide from it either. I have never really understood those who deny their birthday, or act like it doesn't exist. Life is something to be celebrated, and the day you were given that life....even more so. I want to thank my co-workers/friends for making today special. Junior and his wife made me a very "special" cake (not suitable for chirldren), Lissa brought in party favors that all the Soo Morning Crew played with all morning, and Rene' (works in the front office) never forgets a co-workers birthday and always brings in cup cakes and makes sure everyone at work signed a birthday card. I wonder if she knows how much all of that means to us? Then a few of my buddies from outside of work took me out to lunch....AND PAID! All of this added up to a very special birthday and I thank all of them for it......ohhhh.....ahhhh....ouch!!!! My back just went out, my feet hurt, and I am sooo tired. How wast that? These are the the things I am suppose to say now right?!
Lesson Learned:
.....Life is good when you have good friends......

My birthday celebration continued today. My wife and I don't get to see alot of each other because of our work schedules. And our weekends that we get together are far and few between. But this weekend is one of those rare ones that we both have off together, makes my birthday awsome! It was movie night tonight....we went and saw IRON MAN AND IT WAS AWWWWWWWSOME!!!!! I am already waiting with anticipation for Iron Man 2 which is already in production, but is a year and a half away.....ohhhhh seems so far away.
May I vent? I promise it won't be long. Saturday night before my wife and I went to the movies, we had to stop by a local shopping establishment (it ended in Mart) to pick up a few things. In the short 20 minutes we were in there I passed at least 6 to 8 people who had their blue tooth wireless ear piece in, and not one of them were talking on it. I have one question........ why?......Why?.......WHy?........WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has quickly climbed my ladder of "Pet-Peves". Let me first say, I think the blue tooth ear piece is a great piece of equipment. It is meant to keep your hands free while you drive your vehicle, I am all for that and think it should be mandatory. But once you leave the vehicle, LEAVE THE EAR PIECE! Heck....even leave the dang phone too. NEWS FLASH.....we are not as important as we think we are! We don't need a phone connected to us at all time. Any whooooo, back to the ear piece......take it off once you leave the vehicle.....please.....I beg of you! Here's a couple things to consider. 1) You don't look cool. 2) You look like an android. 3) You still don't look cool. And 4) Scotty is not going to beam you up anytime soon. I want to purchase a device that is small enough to be in my pocket and whenever I pass someone with the ear piece in, I push a button and it sends a non threatening, high pitch squeal to the ear piece. Is it sad that I think of these things......Yes! But would it make me laugh.......You Bet!
Oh....by the way....WINGS WIN AGAIN! Detroit now has a 2-0 lead over Dallas, and game three is heading to the Lone Star State Monday Night...... GO WINGS!
Lesson Learned:
....People who wear the ear piece everywhere are really closet Trekkies......

Wow....has this week flown by. Can't believe Sunday was the last day I logged in. You ever head into something knowing it may not work out? Oh man....I am about to do that.....again! Tomorrow I start another round of Weight Watchers. I don't do the meetings and stuff, but I use the points system as a guide. Last time I did this I lost 40 lbs and was feeling great. Then my best friend got married, and I was the best man, so between many parties and social events leading up to the wedding night....well, let's just say I didn't just fall off the wagon.....I WAS THROWN OFF IT! But with another birthday come and gone and my battle with my weight continues, the health issues are starting to add up. And to be quite honest.....I enjoy my life way to much to check in just yet. Soooooooo.......it's time to climb back on the horse, and maybe.....just maybe....this time I can ride that damn horse into the sunset. High Ho Silver......away......

Lesson Learned:
.....I have never ridden a horse before, this should be interesting....

Holy Crap! HOLY Crap!! HOLY CRAP!!! My wife just surprised the crap out of me today. After she got off work she called me to say she had to run and pick up some groceries and things, and would need help bringing in the bags when she got home. I thought this was a bit weird because she has never called to tell me she would need help bringing in the bags as it was something I always helped her with. But I didn't think much of it and soon was back into whatever TV program I was watching at the time.
An hour or so later she was home and I went out to greet her and help bring the bags in. She gave me the firs few, I went in and put them on the counter. Went back out, got a second round of bags from her, went back in and put them on the counter. I went back out for round three and she turns around and hands me a Wii system! I stopped and was speachless and breathless for a moment. I looked up at her and she had the biggest smile on her face.....I could only imagine what my face looked like.
I now have a Wii.......I have a Wii to play with!!! Goodbye Cruel World..... I am off to play with my Wii (get your mind out of the gutter).........

There is a pain in the lower part of my stomach. NO! It's not the burrito I had for lunch. The sweat is beading off my forehead. When I extend my hands....they shake! I bit of lightheaded-ness has also come over me. I try to lay down and see if it will go away, but as I look at the clock, it only get's worse! Pepto....Alka Seltzer....maybe they will help. Doubt it, but it's worth a shot. *Burp*.....nope....don't feal any better, but I drank a wicked fizzy chalky drink...that was kind of cool. Now it's gone to my knee's. They are week....wobbely, I need to sit down. What time is it? Ahhhh....only 5pm. 3 more hours, and yet it's going to seem like a life time. 3 more hours and I may find the cure to my ailments, or they may get worse. 3 more hours and years of waiting come to an end.....3 more hours and the Wings skate into the Stanley Cup Playoffs!!! The anxiety of waiting for the puck to drop is to much....but it's worth it. My wife tells me I take my sports (especially hockey) way to personal.........I can't deny that. I don't know why I love sports the way I do, and I don't know why I am so emotionaly attached to my teams (especially The Wings).....but I am! I guess I could have worse habbits in life! OK....back to my addiction........hurry up 8pm.....get here...... GO WINGS!
(later in the evening)...... Wow.....WOw......WOW! The Wings were on fire tonight. I can't believe the way the man handled Pittsburgh! Don't expect game 2 to be so easy.... GO WINGS!

Game 6 starts in five minutes. I have decided to stay home and watch the game alone tonight instead of going to my brothers to watch the game with family. The Wings seem to lose when I go to my brothers house.....so my siblings and I discussed and agreed it would be best if I stayed away for the sake of The Wings bringing the Cup home.....let's hope it works!
1 Period gone and the Wings have a 1-0 lead.......not bad for being on the road....I will take it!
2 Period's gone and the Wings have a 2-1 lead.....looking better. 20 Minutes to go! Dang....my Dog's sure don't get into this game like my brothers do.
