Police rule M-129 death an accident

Michigan State Police in Sault Michigan say the crash on September 18 that claimed the life of 26-year old Wayne Tadgerson of Brimley was an accident.  Officials concluded that Tadgerson was riding his bicycle against the flow of traffic along M-129 when he was struck by a northbound vehicle near the Five Mile Road intersection at approximately 8 p.m. Laboratory tests revealed that Tadgerson's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit while, the operator of the motor vehicle was not under the influence of any foreign substance. Chippewa County Prosecutor Brian Peppler says no charges will be filed.
